The new Leopard 46 sailing catamaran represent a significant upgrade from its predecessor, the Leopard 45. Building upon the successful DNA of Leopard catamarans, this new model offers a spacious, robust, and high-performing cruising experience.
While retaining the core elements that made the Leopard 45 so popular, the Leopard 46 introduces numerous innovations to enhance comfort, convenience, and sustainability. The layout has been refined to provide a seamless integration between the aft cockpit and saloon, allowing for flexible living spaces. The elimination of the skipper cabin has made way for more spacious accommodations, including a choice of three cabins layout plus a utility roomwith ensuite head/showers.
Available with <b>HYBRID ELECTRIC DRIVE SYSTEM:</b> The system includes 2 × 25 kW, electric motors 24 kW, generator 2 × Alternatives Energies (in lieu of 2 × 45hp diesel) 2 × propulsion batteries with built-in firesuppression, 24 kW range-extending genset, 220V 12 kW 220V AC inverter Shore power 2 × 32A port + 2 × 32A stbd, 2 × 6 kW chargers 4 × AGM house batteries Solar 4 × 400 W = 1,600W , Annual pod (service June 2026)
The system can manage charging and discharging, providing power for both propulsion and house loads. Testing shows speeds over 8 knots and regeneration capabilities up to 1.8 KW per hour per hull.
